Coronavirus Policy        . Dr Stuart Myers               Updated  16 March 2020

As you know the Coronavirus is getting worse by the day and the world is taking drastic action. ALL elective surgery has been cancelled to try and conserve scarce resources within the hospital system. . The only surgery undertaken will be emergencies.

The Australian Government issued updated Health Advice , Which is updated almost daily  instructing that:

Anyone who has visited overseas, returned to Australia, or been in close contact with someone who has, should self-isolate for 14 days. I suspect a General Lockdown is not too far away.

Should you or close contacts have been exposed to these known risks, we ask you to not attend our clinic.

As a Medical practice and as an employer we have a duty of care to protect our patients and staff.

We have institued a Coviu Telehealth Consulting platform so that ALL patients will be screened before coming to a face - to - face consultation.

We are doing everything possible  to try and reduce the risk of disseminating the virus.

We have hand sanitizing bottles as you walk into the clinic.

There is also a notice advising if you are sick or have been overseas in the last 14 days that you should not enter the clinic.

The reception staff will utilise Avagard / Alcoholic  antiseptic hand rub between every patient contact as will the medical staff.

All the books and magazines have been put away.

We encourage all patients to use tap Only and not utilise cash. The secretarial staff will wipe down the EFTPOS machine between each use.

We will put in place a phone message when calling the clinic advising not to come to the practice if you are unwell or have been overseas. As you are well aware if you do so there are potentially large fines in place imposed by the government.

Medical and reception staff will be wiping down the desk regularly using antiseptic wipes.

Please fill in all Questionaires BEFORE you come to an appointment and email them  and your referral to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

We will be using limited pens for the patients and wiping down after every use. We will also minimise the amount of stationery we use at the desk.

There has been a Cancellation or postponement of a wide range of Interactions at the hospital including all Clinical Meetings.

There is to be No handshaking

We have asked our staff to stay home and rest if sick and we ask you please to do the same.

Your safety is our number one priority.
